Location
Well signposted off the A83 Glasgow to Campbeltown road two miles
North of Tarbert. Stonefield Castle Hotel is little more than
2 hours drive from Glasgow airport through some of the most scenic
countryside anywhere in Scotland.
The A 83 is reached by following
the ever popular A82 Loch Lomond road from Glasgow to Tarbet
near the northern head of the loch, and turning left at the Tarbet
Hotel. Follow the signs all the way to Inveraray and Campbeltown
through Lochgilphead.
A more interesting but rather
longer route is to travel from Glasgow to Gourock, take the Dunoon
ferry then follow the road from Dunoon to Inveraray and the A83
- or - even more direct, from Dunoon to Tighnabruaich and Portavadie,
then the ferry to Tarbert, 2 miles form the hotel.
