Kilkea Castle is Ireland's pre-eminent castle hotel and golf club, the castle is surrounded by an 18 hole golf course. Built in 1180 by Hugh de Lacy, Kilkea Castle has been home to some legendary figures, among them Silken Thomas and Gerald Fitzgerald. It is the oldest inhabited castle in Ireland.
